we are

The Dems’ Student Press provides an outlet for all students to express themselves on the political/social issues they are passionate about. Whether it be related to domestic issues, international affairs, or things happening on campus, we seek to provide students with a means to share their thoughts and ideas while engaging in thoughtful discussion with the ideas presented by our other writers.

All articles must follow some kind of citation style and be spell-checked. At the end of your article description on the form, write in quotes one sentence to describe your article- this description will be seen by website viewers when previewing your article. Additionally, indicate which of the 3 categories your article falls in: Domestic Politics, International Affairs, or Campus Commentary. Articles can be written in response to another author’s work, as long as any disagreement is conveyed respectfully. All submissions are automatically entered into our writing contest held each semester (unless you specify you don’t want your article to be entered). There is a winner for each of our three categories, and winners get to choose a $100 prize as their reward.
